1. Is there an AGE LIMIT?
- For the Rage/Smash Room, participants must be 18 years old to enter alone; those aged 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult. For paint parties, individuals must be at least 18 years old to participate alone; those aged 7-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. What is The Break Room?
- The Break Room is Charleston's original rage room, providing a safe and controlled environment for individuals to release stress by smashing and destroying everyday household items.
3. How does it work?
- To participate, book an appointment through the website, arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time, sign a waiver, gear up with provided safety equipment, and then enjoy your session in one of the rage rooms.
4. What should I bring?
- Participants should bring closed-toed shoes (note that footwear with holes, such as CROCS, are not considered closed-toed).
5. What time should I arrive?
- It's recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes before your booking time to allow for waiver signing, suiting up, and a brief orientation.
6. Where do I sign the waiver?
- Waivers can be signed through the website, via a link in the confirmation email, a reminder email, or in person at the facility. Signing the waiver online before arrival is encouraged to maximize your session time. Alternativley you can just click THE BREAK ROOM LIABILITY WAIVER to sign now.
7. When is The Break Room open?
- The Break Room operates Friday / Saturday / Sunday, from 1 PM to 8 PM.
8. How do I book a smach package?
- Due to high demand, The Break Room is not currently accepting walk-ins. All sessions must be booked online in advance through the booking page linked HERE
9. What packages are available?
- The Break Room offers various packages, including rage room sessions, Private party/corporate event sessions, and paint parties. Detailed information on each package can be found on the booking page linked HERE
10. Can I host a private work outing or private party at The Break Room?
Absolutely! Whether you're planning a corporate event, family night, or just a unique get-together, The Break Room has you covered. Our "Demo Crew" package gives your group exclusive access to all three smash rooms for an adrenaline-pumping hour of destruction!
We’ll load up each room with computer monitors, keyboards, glass bottles, and other breakables, so your whole crew can smash to their heart’s content. 11. What safety measures are in place?
- Safety is a top priority at The Break Room. Participants are provided with protective gear, including suits, masks, and gloves, and are given a safety briefing before their session.
12. Can we bring our own items to break?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own breakable items for a $50 cleanup fee. You may bring as many items as can fit into one or two large suitcases. However, we do not allow furniture or large objects that require two people to lift or move.
13. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your session, please do so no less than 48 hours before you are scheduled to arrive. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking slot are nonrefundable, but can be rescheduled (once) for up to 2 weeks out.

No call/No shows & parties arriving more than 10 minutes from booking time (without notice) are not eligible for a refund or credit, and are thereby given whatever time remains within their scheduled appointment. Please arrive early.
